From the Modern Age to the 21st Century

The Fine Arts Museum of Asturias is hosted in a complex of four buildings partially occupying a block close to the Cathedral, in the historical centre of Oviedo: the Palacio de Velarde (18th Century), hosting the older collections (14th – 19th Century); the Casa de Oviedo-Portal (17th Century), integrally devoted to the art of the 19th Century; the Modern Wing (21st Century), exhibiting the more contemporary collections (20th – 21st Century) and a final building, of the mid-twentieth century, hosting the Museum´s offices and internal services.
